This Week, This Month at 1st Universalist – July 18, 2008

We hope you’ll join us in these activities, which we do outside our Sunday service to build community within our congregation. Some are educational, some are purely social and some are both. Inter-generational activities include children of all ages, while other activities are for adults only. Check the details to see if childcare is provided.

  • Friday, July 11 at 2:45 pm to Tuesday, August 19 at 8:30 am — church office is closed. During this hiatus, pastoral emergencies can be directed to Peter House at summerminister@uuroc.org. All other emergencies can be directed to Becky Elwell.
  • July 19, 2008 — 5 to 7 p.m.Gay Pride Parade. “Happily Ever After”
  • Sunday, August 3 — 3:00 p.m. — Ordination of our own Peggy Meeker at First Universalist Church.
  • Sunday, September 7, 2008Drop in Discussions resume.
  • Sunday, September 7, 2008Our Bookstore and Library reopens.
  • October 2008 — our annual spare change collection.  Your Pennies do count! We’ll be holding our annual spare change collection in October, so start saving your extra coins now.
  • FIRST U T-SHIRTS: Sign up for our Centennial T-shirt.
  • RE REC ROOM: The Religious Education program is creating a Rec Room for our youth. Do you have a Fussball table, Ping-pong table or “boom-box/CD player you would like to donate to the church? Please speak with Paul Swiatek or Charlie Courtsal or email them .
  • WHERE, OH WHERE, HAVE ALL THE HYMNALS GONE? If you’ve ever borrowed a hymnal, please bring it back. (No questions will be asked.)
  • 2008 – 09 DIRECTORIES are available. Pick up a paper copy on the way out of the sanctuary, or e-mail or call (546.2826) the office for an electronic copy.
  • ANNUAL REPORTS are available. If you’d like one, please pick one up from the small table located just inside the sanctuary door.
