Privacy Policy
Newsletters
We do not post the electronic or hard-copy versions of our church newsletters on our website. Some information that is in our newsletters may also be posted on this website if it is considered of general interest or would help new people know us better.
Names and contact information
We will create and provide domain name (e.g. @uuroc.org) email forwarders for both staff and volunteers to use for contact information on this website. Email forwarders simultaneously provide a layer of privacy and reduce spam.
Contact people for our church-related events and activities, who wish to have their phone numbers and personal email addresses published, must specifically request this by emailing webmaster@uuroc.org.
Church employees’ church phone numbers, church addresses and church email addresses will be published on the website.
No minors shall be identified by full name, or even by first name only, in photos posted on this website.
Photographs
Per Section 50 of the New York State Civil Rights law, we will obtain written permission from adults and parents of minors before posting photographs(s) of minors and/or adults on our website. Permission, or the denial of permission, may be given either in the form of an email or a hard-copy permission form (either a general permission/denial of permission form or a specific photo(s) permission form).
We will honor the request of any person of any age to have her or his picture removed from our website at any time in writing. Contact webmaster@uuroc.org or use the hard-copy general permission form’s I-DO-NOT-give-my-permission section.
Those of our members and friends who want to be excluded from pictures taken with the purpose of being posted on our website are asked to contact webmaster@uuroc.org with this request.
Newspaper articles are considered in the public domain. Newspaper articles which identify minors may be posted on this website, should the article be considered of general interest or will help new people know us better.
Personal information
We collect personal information from our website visitors on a voluntary basis. Personal information may include your name, address, phone number and email address. We do not require this information to gain access to any part of our site.
The personal information we collect is used by us to process a request that has been placed by the visitor, such as registering for an event at our church or participating in a survey in which the visitor fills in text boxes with her or his personal information.
We do not sell or rent this personal information to other organizations. However, if this website utilizes online comment boxes or web forums, our website visitors should be aware that this may result in their names and email addresses being acquired by other parties or being found via a web search. We cannot prevent this from happening.
Credit Card Information
We do not currently accept online credit card or PayPal payments for church or denominational events held at our church.
We do not provide third-party credit card or PayPal payment options for non-church-sponsored events held on our premises.
