Current Church-Wide Social Justice Project:
Housing For All
First Universalist has often witnessed the homeless issue, often on its doorstep in the alcoves. Homelessness has been chosen by the congregation as Church Project at its Annual Meeting in June 2023. We have named the project Housing for All.
Housing for All will provide education about the issue. Serve, by providing meals, supplies, volunteer opportunities, fundraising, and coordinating with organizations already deep into serving the population of the unhoused. Advocate for legislation that supports the unhoused with services and affordable housing.
